German Language Course – Curs de Limbă Germană 

  German in the land of fortified churches

An intensive course for German language is hosted each year by the “Lucian Blaga” University in Sibiu (Romania) as postuniversity course "Intercultural Communication in German-speaking Countries". It is organized in collaboration with the “Studia Oecumenica Association”, with “Brot für die Welt” Berlin as main partner. The target group are people related to the Church, with university degree in humanities or social science studies, especially theologians, regardless of their denominational affiliation.

The course sums a total of 700 hours till the B1+ level, held by university professors of philology. It ends with a regular university exam, but also with the possibility to take the B1 exam at the Goethe Institute Sibiu. The course is planned to take place with physical presence of the participants in Sibiu (Romania). It also includes an introduction to cultural and church traditions. After finishing the Postgraduate course, there is the possibility of continuing study in the summer (July, August) up to B2 level. This second course will be held with the same teachers and will end with the B2 exam at the Goethe-Institut. The B2 certification is an advantage for further studies in Germany. A successful graduation of the course (B1 Certificate) offers the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to study in Germany. It is also possible to apply for the German language study programmes offered by the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (Protestant Pastoral Theology, German Studies, Pedagogy).

 Germană în țara bisericilor fortificate

Un curs intensiv de limba germană este găzduit în fiecare an de către Universitatea "Lucian Blaga" din Sibiu (România), sub forma cursului postuniversitar "Comunicare interculturală în spațiul de limbă germană". Acesta este organizat în colaborare cu Asociația "Studia Oecumica", "Brot für die Welt" Berlin fiind partener principal. Grupul țintă sunt persoane legate de Biserică, cu studii universitare în domeniul științelor umaniste sau al științelor sociale, în special teologi, indiferent de apartenența lor denominală.

Cursul însumează un total de 700 de ore până la nivelul B1+, susținute de profesori universitari de filologie. El se încheie cu un examen universitar obișnuit, dar și cu posibilitatea de a susține examenul B1 la Institutul Goethe Sibiu. Cursul este planificat să se desfășoare cu prezența fizică a participanților la Sibiu. El conține și o introducere în tradiții culturale și bisericești. La finalizarea cursului postuniversitar există posibilitatea continuării studiului în vară (iulie, august) până la nivelul B2. Orele se vor desfășura cu aceeași profesori și examenul B2 va fi la Institutul Goethe Sibiu. Certificarea cunoștiințelor B2 constitutie un avantaj pentru continuarea studiilor în Germania. Absolvirea cu succes a cursului (Certificat B1) oferă posibilitatea de a aplica pentru o bursă de studii în Germania. La fel este posibilă înscrierea la programele de studii în limba germană oferite de Universitatea Lucian Blaga din Sibiu (Teologie protestantă pastorală, Germanistică, Pedagogie).

 Deutsch im Lande der Kirchenburgen

Der Deutschkurs baut auf die muttersprachliche Deutschkompetenz auf, die in Siebenbürgen seit dem Mittelalter ungebrochen zu Hause ist. Sibiu/Hermannstadt ist das geographische Zentrum der Kirchenburgenlandschaft und somit der deutschprachigen Kultur in Rumänien. Die Lucian Blaga Universität ist akademische Heimstätte sowohl für das Studium der Germanistik als auch für das der Theologie (Protestantisch und Orthodox). Neben dem Deutsch-Lernen steht auch die Einführung in die lokale Kultur auf dem Programm. Da die lokale, deutschsprachige Kultur, sehr kirchenverbunden ist, findet der Kurs sozusagen "im Kirchhof" statt.   Er wendet sich deswegen  an kirchennahe Personen der ganzen Welt. Er dauert 9 Monate und beginnt mit dem jeweiligen akademischen Studienjahr. Er umfasst ein Pensium von 4 Stunden Vorlesungen und Übungen 5 Tage die Woche (insgesamt 700 Stunden bis B1+) und hat als anfängliche Unterrichtssprache das Englische. Der gemischte Kurs - universitär und kirchlich -  wendet sich an Angehörige aller Konfessionen, besonders an TheologInnen aber auch an AbsolventInnen humanistischer sowie sozialer Studien.

Es unterrichtet ein Team von Germanisten unter der Anleitung von Dr. Dana Dogaru. Der Kurs kann mit der B1 Prüfung des Goethe-Instituts abgelegt werden. Stipendien, die alle Kosten decken (Visa, Reisen, Immatrikulation, Wohnen und Verpflegung) sind möglich. Durch die gute Vernetzung mit „Brot für die Welt” und „Gustav-Adolf-Werk” wird der Kurs oft als eine Chance gesehen, mit einem anschließenden Stipendium in Deutschland weiter zu studieren.
